Need help buying the right paella pan?

There are different kinds of paella pan:

  • Polished steel Paella Pans are the traditional ones. It´s important never allow the pan to air dry. You should rub with cooking oil your paella pan after cleaning it.
  • Enamelled Steel Paella Pans has a especial coating for an easy maintenance. This coating avoid that paella pans go rusty, it´s not necessary rub the paella pan with cooking oil. But it doesn´t have any non stick properties.
  • Professional Paella Pans (Special Thickness) are the strongest paella pans. If you are going to use the paella pan with open fire these are the best ones, because when fire isn´t even distributed this  can distort the pan. The thickness of the polished steel is highly resistant to warping and keep the rice hot for a long time. We also recommend these paella pans for chefs and for an intensive use.
  • Stainless Steel Paella Pans are also a good option with a luxury finished, with golden handles. Stainless Steel paella pans don´t have any special maintenance.
  • Electric Hob & Induction Paella Pans, these paella pans are special to cook with electric, induction and vitroceramic hobs.

What size paella pan do I need ?

This depends on how many servings you want. If you aren´t sure about the size that you need we recommend don´t choose a tight size for a paella pan because Paella is tastier when it´s thin than when it´s thick. To cook Paella the water shouldn´t exceed the level of the paella pan rivets.

In this guide you can see the number of servings for each diameter of paella pan. "Tapas" servings are smaller than main course servings, in case you have a second course.

Paella pans are measured from the top edge, excluding  handles.

Which size of the gas burner is appropriate for a paella pan?

We recommend use the ring of the Gas Burner smaller than the paella pan, the diameter of the paella pan should be about 15-20 cm bigger than the ring of the gas burner. Most of the rings of a Gas Burner can be used independently.

High Power Gas Burners can be used with paella pans between 15- 30 cm bigger. Also you can see in the description of our Gas Burners the paella pan recommended for each one.

What guarantee do these products have?

Two years from date of purchase against any manufacturing defect. Please read "Maintenance Tips" for a correct use of the pans.

Can I use my gas burner indoors?

In this case our recommendation is to use a professional gas burner, because this gas burner has a safety valve certified for indoor use. Standard Gas Burners and High Power Gas Burners are approved only for outdoor use.
